Batik bat, sotilena eta ezkutuena den indarkeria horretan zentratzen da, deigarriena ez izanagatik ere, oso kaltegarria dena eta maiz indarkeria fisikoaren aurrekaria. Sexist violence and romantic love in the novel Fifty Shades of Grey

The aim of this article is to think about the sexist violence that happens in intimate relationships. The article focuses on the most subtle and hidden violence, because even if it is not the most striking one, this kind of violence is really harmful and often a physical violence’s precursor. The article supports the idea that the dominant love model in western societies nowadays (romantic love), has a key role in the maintenance and defense of this type of violence, as it is a love model that is totally connected to traditional gender roles. Due to the paramount importance cultural industries have in the transmition of these values, and also being aware of the great succes that the novel Fifty shades of Grey has achieved, this novel has been analyzed from this point of view, since it is considered it involves both romantic love and sexist violence.
