Nazionalismo etnikoek munduan zehar azken urteotan hartu duten indar berria azaltzen saiatzen da artikulua. Erantzuna bilatzean abiapuntu ondokoa da: nazioak osatzeko aukerak dituzten taldeek muinean komunitate etniko esanguratsua dute eta hauetako populazioak sentimendu eta helburu amankomunak ditu. Europari dagokionean, ez du ikusten honek oinarri etniko segururik duenik ez eta oroipen historiko, mito, sinbolo, balio eta antzeko elementu amankomunezko oinarri garbirik.

 

The article tries to explain the new power ethnic nationalisms ultimately have got for the last years. The starting point for the answer of this phenomenon is the following: groups which have possibilities to create nations count on a significant ethnic community, and these kind of populations have common sentiments and aims. Respecting Europe, it doesn’t seem it has neither sure ethnic bases nor historical memory, symbol, value nor a clear similar common basic element.
